I’m experienced in working with college students, adults, and older adults who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship challenges, navigating family dynamics, and coping with daily stressors.

Each session is customized to fit your unique needs and goals, whether that’s through traditional talk therapy, engaging in art therapy or utilizing mind/body techniques. Together we can explore past and present experiences, navigate current challenges and set direction for your future.

I currently offer telehealth sessions in the state of MA. I’ll soon be offering in-person therapy in Chelmsford, MA.

APPROACHES TO COUNSELING

I provide a person-centered approach to counseling, tailoring sessions to fit your individual needs, to ensure that you receive the support that resonates with you. I am trained in the following approaches and may utilize any combination of these in our sessions:

  • CBT is an approach that assists individuals in identifying and transforming negative thought patterns and unhelpful behaviors into more constructive and positive ones. By focusing on the connections between thoughts, emotions, and actions, CBT empowers people to cultivate healthier mindsets and behaviors, leading to improved mental well-being.

  • Art Therapy utilizes creative expression as a valuable therapeutic tool, allowing individuals to process their complex emotions and life experiences through a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, and collage. This approach not only fosters personal insight but also promotes healing and self-discovery.

    You don't need to be an artist or have any experience in art to participate in art therapy. Art therapy is about the process, rather than the finished product.

  • Mind/Body approaches focus on the connection between our mental and emotional states and the physical sensations we experience in our bodies. These methods include practices such as mindfulness meditation, deep breathing, yoga, and progressive muscle relaxation. By engaging in these techniques, individuals can cultivate a greater awareness of their thoughts and feelings while also promoting relaxation and reducing stress.

  • Motivational Interviewing is a technique that helps clients discover their inner drive while encouraging them to take meaningful and actionable steps toward achieving their personal goals. This approach empowers individuals to explore their motivations and commit to positive changes in their lives.

  • ACT teaches individuals to embrace and accept their thoughts and feelings as they arise while simultaneously committing to actions that align with their deepest values. This therapeutic approach fosters a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment in life, empowering individuals to navigate their challenges with greater resilience and clarity.
