THERAPEUTIC SERVICES
Since 2014, I have had the privilege of working in various eldercare settings and adult day programs, providing art therapy and additional therapeutic services to older adults, including those living with dementia, as well as individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
My genuine passion lies in helping these populations discover meaning, self-expression, and connection through various creative outlets. I truly believe that creativity can be accessible to everyone, regardless of one’s age or ability, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where all can explore their creative potential.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

ART THERAPY GROUPS
Art Therapy groups are thoughtfully adaptable to meet all levels of functioning. These specialized groups provide a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment that encourages self-exploration, creativity, and meaningful connection with others. Participants can express themselves freely while fostering relationships, and enhancing their emotional well-being.
I’ll come with a set art project or theme, where we’ll explore different art materials and approaches, such as watercolor, acrylics, mixed-media and collage.
In addition, participants can expect to engage in meaningful group discussions where everyone is invited to share their thoughts and feelings about their artistic creations, fostering a sense of connection and community.
-
ART DISCUSSION GROUPS
I will provide a presentation on famous artists or art movements. Through discussions, group participants are able to make connections from viewed art to their own life and express thoughts and opinions relating to the art. This isn’t a typical “lecture” but rather an active participation group. This group can be paired with art making sessions that utilize the theme of the presentation to inspire their creative expression.

CHAIR YOGA & EXERCISE GROUPS
I am a certified yoga instructor who has taught chair yoga and group exercise classes to people of all levels of functioning since 2016.
Chair Yoga and exercise classes create a welcoming and safe space for individuals to engage in gentle stretching, strengthening their muscles, and improving overall flexibility while lowering the chance of falls through the use of a supportive chair. In addition to physical benefits, these classes also teach breathing techniques that can help participants relax, find balance, and feel calm.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPEUTIC SESSIONS
Individual sessions can consist of art therapy, art discussions, chair yoga or a combination of services. Each session can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of the client. These sessions are beneficial for those who might not be able to attend groups or who may just want a 1:1 connection.
